| January 10 | Feature Presentation - The Bug, Written by Richard Strand and produced by Plays on Tape. Part Brazil and part The Trial, a frustrated office worker stuggles to determine his future at the company. In a Kafkaesque manner the author pokes fun at human's on-going dependance on machinery and what happens when the tiniest thing goes wrong. |
| January 17 | Feature Presentation - Sabotage in the Sky, Part 1. Original story by L. Ron Hubbard. An air adventure pulp tale from Galaxy Press. Pilot Terry Lee has taught Bill Trevillan everything he knows about flying, enough that BVill's now considered the ace of American test pilots just as war breaks out in 1930s Europe. Unknown to Bill, Terry's also taught his own kid sister, Kip, who's now almost as good a pilot as Bill and quite the looker to boot. |
| January 24 | Feature Presentation - Sabotage in the Sky, Part 2. Both Bill and Kip are sent to test planes for France and Great Britain, but there's also a spy in the works sabotaging planes and making the pilots suspect each other. |
| January 31 | Feature Presentation - Raven's Radio Hour. Written by Ed Bourgeois and Jack Dalton. This hour-long Native Radio Theater Production celebrates the vast diversity of Alaska Native cultures with this heartwarmingly funny radio show. Hosted by Raven-the trickster/creator character in all Alaska Native traditions-this homage to the radio variety shows of the 1940s features timeless stories, traditional songs ... and jokes that'll make you blow moose milk through your nose! |
| February 7 | Feature Presentation - Murder Wears a Mask. A Red Panda aeventure from Decoder Ring Theatre. Canada's greatest superhero takes on another case. The newspapers trumpet murder and mayhem almost every day, and there's more than enough to keep the Terrific Twosome of Toronto busy in their own hometown. So why are they racing off to the Big Apple in spite of their own strict "no meddling" policy? Can even the Red Panda bring the guilty to justice when... Murder Wears a Mask? Written and produced by Gregg Taylor. Second Feature - Hostel Territory, The Deadeye Kid #3. From 19 Nocturne Boulevard. A western with a twist as the Deadeye Kid is followed around by the ghost of Fanshaw. Which is helpful as he can go out and look around and report back to Lem things that he could never see for himself. Even in the middle of a blizzard, Lem and Fanshaw find someone in need of help - outlaws have taken over a Quaker hostel, holding the proprietress' children hostage. | February 21 | Feature Presentation - Fallen Angels That Bounce. ZBS. The characters from Even More 2 Minute Film Noir, Joe, Moe and Flo. Flo has been having frustrating dreams at night. In her dream, she's trying to get somewhere, but things keep happening; she forgets her ticket, or passport, or purse, she misses her bus, or train, or plane. It keeps happening night after night. So Joe & Moe give her a tip; visualize how she’d like her dream to end, and then go back to sleep and change the dream. They ask, "In your dream, where were you trying to go?" When Flo replies, "Brazil," suddenly her dream explodes into color, it’s Carnival in Rio, people are dancing in the streets, Flo’s dream has become more real than they could ever imagine. | February 28 | Feature Presentation - The Resident Member. Original story by Paul Marlowe. From Something Wicked Presents…Poltergeists, death, and romance interrupt a quiet dinner at the Etheric Explorers Club… On any given day, the intrepid members of the Etheric Explorers Club can be found frustrating prophesies, wrestling with ancient evils, and generally striding boldly down the dark alleys of life, in order to fill in those portions of man’s map of reality that are, perhaps, better left blank. As with any club, though, there are always members who stay behind so as not to miss a second helping of pudding. This is their story. Recorded with an International cast and produced at Sound and Motion studios in South Africa. We'll also have a little bit of background on the making of this play from the editor of Something Wicked magazine, Joe Vaz, who first published the original short story. |
