SCHEDULE

Discussion is the basis of this whole conference. We have all had our experiences in the production of audio theater - or not - and therefore have something to contribute to the discussion. We all see it from different perspectives and priorities. Personally one thing I've always liked about it is that the niche is small; there aren't a lot of people doing it. So what do you think?

Friday, October 1
These sessions held in the Aragon Ballroom A&B at the Metrodome Hotel
3:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Registration
6:45-7:00 PM - Welcome - Introductions, notices and announcements.
7:00-8:30 PM - State of the Niche - Keynote discussion. David Ossman, Judith Walcutt.
8:45-11:00 PM - Workshop. Tony Palermo of the Museum of Television and Radio in Los Angeles, takes us on a whirlwind production of live radio theater. Tony uses techniques of his own invention to take any group from scratch to a finished program. And we all walk away with a recording of the show.

Sunday, October 3
These sessions held in the Aragon Ballroom A&B at the Metrodome Hotel
8:30-10:00 AM - Marketing and Distribution, Part 2: Getting Heard.
What else can you do? Marketing your work, yourself, your talent. Guerilla marketing. What has worked for you, what hasn't? (discussion) Includes a Continental breakfast in the hotel.
10:30-12 Noon - Contacts and Collaborations: How can we network with each other?
What do we want the future state of the niche to be? How do we expand opportunties? Look at other niches that have grown (i.e., science fiction), how can we learn from them? Every time any one of us builds a new market or interests a new listener, we all benefit. What will you do when you go home...? (discussion)

Talk is cheap, but talk is sometimes very necessary, and besides talk is what we do best. For more information contact us.
